  1. WOW! I did not know that LOL.... Nice to be here anyhow.... Yes, Sacramento, California...... Mark KSAC/KSMF
  2. Found it: "At almost all airports in the U.S. with proper endorsements, during daytime only, at altitudes below 10,000 feet or 2000 feet above the ground which ever is higher, with visual reference to the ground. There’s no distance limitation for cross country flights (can be anywhere in the U.S.)." Mark
  3. Thanks fly-tornado, can you tell me the max nautical miles that the FAA allows. I thought I read somewhere that there are distance restrictions.. Mark KSAC
  4. I am considering switching from my C172 lessons (30+ hours) to light sport in the Evektor Sport Star. What are the FAA rules on Max distance flying? Many thanks! Mark KSAC
  5. Thanks a bunch guys! Would you consider the Evektor SportStar a good aircraft to train in? Mark
  6. Hello all! My Home field is KSAC, 1 nm from my house. Started for my PPL in 1988 in KSAN. Lots of life interruptions until now. So far, 30hrs in the C172SP. Last lesson in 2007. I have a couple of questions: I'd like to continue my C172SP lessons to completion, but I am curious about a Recreational License. Do the current student hours carry over, or at least apply some credit? If I decide to get my PPL also, will any accrued hours with a Recreational be honored? Trying to find a list of 'common' aircraft that are used with a Recreational License.. Can anyone confirm that Lodi, CA is my nearest Recreational School? Many thanks! Mark H. KSAC
