  1. Cockpit of Joe Tymchzsem’s Buhl Pup in Torrance CA!
  2. Does anyone know about somewhere to stay - even a dormitory set up that's relatively cheap - for any group of like-minded pilots or aviation enthusiasts, who can get down to the Point Cook Airshow?
  3. Oh! OK. Now I see (as I said, I'm not a frequent or even a regular visitor to this site!) It is a HummelBird. Never heard of this type! But I bet a terrific project to be involved in. Lucky you!
  4. Greetings Spacesailor, I have not been on this site for months on end. But thanks for dropping in :-). I don't think I know you yet! Anyhow, it was very nice, and thank-you. Say, what is that RV you are sitting in? and is it under construction? Also, where in AUS is Toongabbie? Is there going to be an airshow somewhere, sometime soon? Cheers, Spitty aka: Airbatic093
  5. Hi again, thanks for posting back. Love old airplanes. I am new to this site... and I've only ever been on 1 other forum - once. So this is new. Would you be the person to ask about certain college courses in Aviation here?
  6. G'Day, I would like to know what that aircraft is behind you ...
  7. yes, evening. In response to your last posting, I don't know where there might be a flight school around here, I am in Southern QLD. (whoops!... almost said CA:giggle:). Well, I am not.. I am in AUS.
  8. Hi all, Just want to say HI to anyone reading this, and am 'introducing myself' (so this darned message would disappear..) Am a student pilot in the US and have been flying 2 different a/c - 7eca Citabria & Cessna 172. Have already many hours, and 2 solo cross countrys as well as many short solo hops. I really, really want to get my licence and have been advised by people over here that the Recreational Pilot Licence would be the better way to go - even though I'm comfortable conversing with So-Cal radar on 'Flight Following' with every other pilot in the South Bay sector! and flying within E, D and C class airspaces... Seems really easy over there... here it seems like I have to fill out a bunch of bureaucratic "stuff" and get really anal-retentive about getting in an airplane and flying it!! Just being honest! .... Like night 'n day... I'm really into the cross country stuff and going long distances... And I swear... I WILL get A licence, before I cark it!!
