Ok then what about a CFI Pete. -
Ju just flock the bolt head in then you have 1 spanner adjustments.
-
automatic pitch changing no but the carbon fiber coated one was a great tuff prop on the 2200 j170 heaps less trouble than jab props
-
when this happened to me i blocked off the side that failed by folding and tying with lockwire then filling up with brake fluid again and bleeding, it stops very good on 1 brake just to get you home a lot better than no brakes i then fitted the dual calaper design it looks a lot stronger than the single t plate.
-
have seen exhaust valves stick in from carbon on the valvestem in the 2200 once fixed it self after about 5 min another time had to land and take head off to free valve & put new one in,it shakes quite violently on 3 cylinders it wouldnt happen with solid tappets
-
also keep an eye on aluminium backing plate, i had my j170 throw a brake caliper not long ago at around a thousand hours and it belted the side a few times then fell off, have since updated to dule caliper brakes and new disks. Pete.

I think the recon solid lifter engine is more bullet proof the new hydrolic lifter engines are easyer to maintain though just dont supercool them most through bolts break after practicing simulated engine failure (windmilling the prop on decent+engine shock cooling) they also use a tad more fuel due to bigger jeting than solid lifter.

no thanks maybey she could make some for sale in Clear Prop? jab owners thoughts?
-
no but if you find out I want one for the j170 too.
