Why do you need to denigrade someone? There could have been a reason we may never know like some sort of distraction or event in the cockpit or the passenger. -

Thanks, since flying Ultralights I don't have time to fly RC anymore which is a pitty because I loved it. I love watching your videos. -

The aircraft looks very unstable, maybe that was the wind. I could see the direction finder but not the distance to you in the HUD, where was that? -

It's great seeing rc flying to scale. Also would love to see those other aircraft flying. -
I guess the only thing it would be good for is ADSB IN but... you hope if they use OUT CASA might be helpful but I suspect they aren't geared to help.

Different fuel tank emptying rates in J430
mkennard replied to RooviatorJ's topic in Aircraft General Discussion
I drained the tanks in my 230D by removing the fuel hose from the mechanical fuel pump and draining into fuel cans and used the electric fuel pump to speed things up. My left wing emptied first then the right wing. During long flights one wing always drains faster than the other. Talking to other jab people they have the same issue. Wish we had a fuel slector sometimes. -
On fuel bulk storage, getting clean fuel and so on.

I tried looking for the regs on transporting fuel, like jerry cans in a car and couldn't find them. Can someone send the links for NSW please. -
Light plane crash The Oaks, 30 March 2023 (edited)
mkennard replied to red750's topic in Aircraft Incidents and Accidents
AFAIK he's not on any forums or facebook. He did explain in good detail. The main part was he didn't think he could get over the tree so he aimed between them towards the base of the trunks so the wings would take the energy. Would have worked if the front wheel didn't catch on the scrub. As for the turn back, that's the problem with partial EFAT, John knows the plane and so close to pulling it off. Imagine if he had 5 more seconds of power. What we can learn is maybe don't trust partial engine failures low to the ground. I've left the carb heat on and you defintely feel it but I didn't put it into a paddock, I worked it out pretty quickly. It's hard to judge when your not there. -

Broken nose and left thumb. Some bruises elsewhere but in good spirits. Looking at the plane, I'm so amazed that was all. -
