That was a very sad event and a tragedy suffered by quite a few on here. I witnessed a lot of the damage. Thead drift Trivia for the day..........Lismore is the only town in Australia where they have a speed limit for boats in the main High Street. Years ago SES flood rescue boats travelled too fast down the High Street and bow waves smashed all the shop windows. FACT! Back to topic.

You'll be telling me soon that if you put a brick in the back of a windsock, it does nothing towards a smoother flight. I never noticed the metal one. Silly me!

Strong wind from starboard?

It never ceases to amaze me when I hear of these instances, that all the injured passengers were not wearing a seat belt. WTF is wrong with people? It can happen at any time unexpectedly. Are we really supposed to feel sorry for their ignorance, Not me i'm afraid! Hope some learn something from their experience.

Is your bedroom big enough for this?

We can only hope and pray for a good outcome. Looks like it could have been a brand new rig. -
Jetstar pilot? who lets everyone at a party know what he does for a quid.

Thermals, birds flying in them. Souther-hemisphere.

We had a neighbors young chook in our garden a few weeks back. As I approched, it took flight following the path between the trees but wound up slamming into the fence at the end. I think it should have read Nevs post about gaining altitude by taking off into the wind. -

Every chance that the float was damged by striking floating debris, which i'm always wary of when in my small boat. Occasionally you see something in the water which is capable of damaging a hull.
