  1. Same thing used to happen in my PA28. I checked and found it was common and not a problem.
  2. My father in law arranged to fly the first cattle into PNG. They landed at Port Moresby from Queensland in a Bristol Freighter.
  3. There is one in NSW south of Tibbooburra.
  4. Australia had many deadly animals. The deadliest is the horse, with around 120 deaths each year from horse-related accidents.
  5. There are plenty of videos of sovereign citizens being arrested in the USA . They seem to have a serious mental defect coupled with a mania like members of a religious cult.
  6. The old Kwaka triple two-stroke used to put out some power when it hit its rev band.
  7. Instinctively handling the yaw didn't work for me yesterday. I flew for the first time after two months away on holiday and couldn't get my feet to work. A few circuits and a short local got me back into it, but the first takeoff had me way left of centreline. I think the three takeoffs and landings before taking passengers is a good rule!
  8. Who hasn’t had a door pop open? It seems a big problem in the Bonanza for some reason.
  9. For those who don't know, Cavorite is a fictional material first depicted by H. G. Wells in The First Men in the Moon, a 1901 scientific romance. Developed by Cavor, a reclusive physicist, it has the ability to negate the force of gravity,
  10. He got legless more than once.
  11. I bought a new one in 2011 and flew it for several years. I was very happy with it. They have been used for training quite successfully, that’s where mine went. Visibility was excellent, I didn’t have any issues flying it except a tendency to land hard if you pulled power.
  12. That was my thinking, I had an ASIC from when they came in, but this time I decided to follow the instructions on the ASIC application. It says that you can only apply if you have a regular need to access security controlled airports. I have only done it half a dozen times in twenty years so I should not apply for an ASIC.
