  1. This the pump I use, pretty cheap at my local auto store Tom Thumb Pump Genuine, Fluid, Oil Pump 1L Bottle | eBay . Go slow or the end will come off and spray oil every where. I use ATF red for brake fluid. Cheers rick
  2. I see trutack have removed the Eco from their product list, disappointing.
  3. Try Kingoonya just up the highway from Glendambo , can taxi up to the bowsers, google Kingoonya hotel, they have a website, looks good for you. Cheers Rick
  4. I have flown the Nullarbor roadhouse - broken hill route quite a few times and always stop in at Mount Ive station for fuel and or accomodation. Very welcoming people, 98 oct fuel available, cheap shearers quarters up to restored stone quarters. Food, BBQ packs and alcohol available at the shop. Cheers rick
  5. Firewall is all aluminium rivets A4 and A5' s
  6. There's quite a few stainless rivets in the sliding seats, in the high stress areas where they have stainless doubler plates.
  7. Haven't flown it myself, have always gone the Eyre Hwy route, but others I have talked to who have gone that way usually head north west from Nullarbor roadhouse to pick up the trans line then follow it to Forrest. From there keep following to Kalgoorlie. There are well maintained strips at most all of the sidings if you need a comfort stop. The only iffy factor is rain on the strip, usually after thunderstorms that can make them slippy.
  8. Sorry OME called you the wrong name, didn't check the OP
  9. You'd be better of topping up your bladders on the Nullarbor, maybe Caiguna or Balladonia, Ravensthorp strip is a fair walk into the fuel station. Then go onto Esperance (Avgas BP card bowser) for another refuel, then Albany.
  10. I did a lot of research into oil thermostats on 912 and most people who put one on found little or no benefit. So I decided not to bother putting one in myself. Then had a guy ask me to install one for him. I told him about my research but he insisted so I installed one for him and yes indeed made little or no difference to warm up time. Just my $.02 worth
  11. Bring it on, I'm drooling for more photos.
  12. I installed a 2 axis a/p using MGL xtreme plus mgl servos. Fair bit of work to make brackets and install. I wasn't super happy with the residual drag of the servos, that is the amount of drag on the controls when the a/p is disconnected, but it appears you do get used to it. You can use other servos with the MGL system and I have heard of servos with nil residual drag. I did look into the Eco system from tru track, looks good and easier to install and nil drag on the controls but try and get info out of them is like pulling teeth, I gave up. Cheers Rick
