Avdata

I just received an invoice for $10 from Avdata for a landing fee at Chinchilla, Qld.

 

I had landed there for a quick pee beside the runway then away again in minutes.

 

We often joke about the $100 hamburger, but this is a $10 pee fee......

Yeah, i also just got an invoice for landing & refueling @ Chinchilla. avdata is really having a ball with it's new found list, I'm sure they are the M&M's new best friend, I bet they had a good party to celebrate that little aquisition. They are a bloody parasitic organisation.

Avdata's Christmases have all come at once...

 

On the subject of parasites.

 

There are those that co-exist in a healthy relationship with the host and it can be beneficial to both.

 

Then there are those that consume, destroy, mutilate and eventually kill the host.

 

Unfortunately, the latter applies here....M&M will then move on.... to the next ...err... victim.

There is only 3350 registered RAA aircraft and I bet less than half of them get caught in avdata's net in the next 12 months, good but not Christmas.

According to Avdata's website the charge for Chinchilla is $9.59 per tonne. They also recommend a minimum charge of one tonne and charge out at the MTOW of the aircraft which is a maximum of 600kg for RAAus aircraft. This means that the real rate at (propably most airports is 67% higher than the published tonnage rate. It would be helpful for the management to aprise Avdata of this effective tax on RAAus aircraft operators and reduce the miniumum charge to 600 kg. or tell them to FCUK off. But they already have the database....

You know those competitions which are on line, those ones which are designed to compile information for data lists of which they sell on, to those pests which call us constantly.

 

Looks like RAAus on sold the members list to AVDATA and the cost of list is the kick backs to RAAus from AVDATA which no one is admitting to.

 

Hmmmmmmmm.. Case of proving it is the mission.

Any income would have to be listed in the financial statements wouldn't it? Any good beancounter would be able to pick it out in a heartbeat you'd think.

The reward may simply to be able to use RAA aircraft at AAA membership airfields unopposed or even endorsed and encouraged by the AAA.

 

This fits with the RAA GA training narrative and ambitions.

 

The price, as we all now know, is the unauthorised supply of private and personal contact information of ALL RAA members...

However looks like a few things are concealed. An audit will pick it up however how it is presented to the members is the exercise.

Didn't you Mob vote in a Director with "many years’ experience in corporate fraud as an investigative accountant"? Was wondering if management may have wanted someone to help reverse engineer some creative accounting solutions. Cheers
