How do you clear cookies from only 1 site with Chrome?

There is a Chrome extension that is called removecookiesfromsite which you can install. It will put a little brown cookie icon in the top right of the command line. When you are in any site just click on it & it removes cookies from that site only. Very useful if you start getting BS messages, adverts or emails from dodgy sites you have visited inadvertently or not.

Bernie, the default browser for Windows 10 is Microsoft Edge. Here is the directions for clearing cookies-

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027947/microsoft-edge-delete-cookies

Please note, when you remove cookies, you have to log in each time you open a website, so you must remember your login ID's and passwords.

Thanks Ian - the cookie instructions fixed the login prob (at least it didn't ask me to log in again today).

Still getting the problem that every time you try to "like" something you get the "oops" problem, and so do some other people using Ipads and laptops by the sound of it. (Some comments in Bex's build thread). Also get the "oops" when trying to attach a file or paste a picture, which is why I can't show you the screen shot of the problem.

Cheers, Marty

To any user that is experiencing the combined issue of getting an "Oops" error when trying to like something and having an issue when trying to add an attachment...I need to test something with you but it requires me to be on the phone with you at the time as I need to remove all enhancements that I have added and add each one back one at a time while you try again.

Please if there is anyone who can help me with this then let me know as it will be greatly appreciated...thanks

Hi Ian, did you manage to get someone? I am still getting "oops" in the following situations:

  • Clicking on notifications (the bell)
  • Clicking on personal messages (the envelope)
  • Clicking on "like" for someone's post

Also I get a "you do not have permission to do this action"

  • Attaching a file
  • Pasting something copied (eg picture)

If you still need someone to call and walk through this let me know. I'm running this in Windows 10 on a Lenovo Yoga laptop.

Thanks, Marty

As suspected it seems that I have to convert the site back to absolute default and see if the problem still exists so @Marty_d and @FlyingVizsla if you can help me with this it would be appreciated. I will strip the site bare today and could you let me know if you are still having any issues...thanks

Hi Ian,

Logged on just now and everything seems to be working. I can read PM's, "like" posts, and let me try an attachment...

Bernie, what program do you use to connect to Recreational Flying and any other internet site? In previous versions of Windows it was known as Internet Explorer. Typical of Microsoft, when they introduced Windows 10, Internet Explorer was renamed Microsoft Edge.

Hi @FlyingVizsla I am guessing you are unable to access your Private Messages so here is what I sent you:

Hi, I was hoping you could help me to resolve the site issues you are having. Firstly I need to rule out your PC so can you log in to the site from a PC that has never been used to log into the site before and see if the issue still exists, use a friends, work or neighbour PC and then let me know the outcome...thanks

@waraton can you do the same. I need to isolate the issue to user PC, our server or the site itself

It has now been suggested that the issue could simply be an outdated browser cache that the user may be using. So, if that is the problem then it is easy to fix by simply clearing your browser cache. Please can someone who is having issues follow the following instructions and then let me know if it fixed the issue...thanks:

Seems the Samsung is only good while the desktop is logged on, hope this helps. I cleared my history again and this time it has worked, happy days.

I don't use a "program" to access rec/flying its a favorite on my screen...

I'm not computer literate...I cant follow what Ian has put up regarding cookies..What has been put up is not what I get when I do as asked ??

As I have said before all the other forums I belong to have delete cookies at the bottom of their page .

So easy .

Bernie .
