I haven't has the pleasure of flying with Jetstar, yet, but I've flown quite often on Virgin, Qantas, Ansett and Freedom.

The Freedom A 320 sounds quite similar to the Jetstar ones, but you'll find that the Virgin seats especially in the older jets are quite cramped in the shoulder room stakes, leg room isn't really bad but i wouldn't want to spend any more than the usual 2 1/2 - 3 hours I usually spend aboard them flying Melbourne to Brisbane.

If you really want leg room I suggest asking for a seat in the emergency exit rows, acres of room, on my last trip to Brisbane i went up on virgin which was completely packed, i couldn't spot one free seat so that was an uncomfortable flight, but on the way back with Qantas i managed to get an emergency exit seat and it was one of the best flights I've had in a long time, i had no one next to me and it was only about $10 more expensive than the Virgin Blue flight at a similar time...
