frank marriott
Do everything in a J170 that I do in my 230. Cruise at 100 V 120, on shortish trips the 120hp is noticable expecially at 600kg, but the plus being about 8 ltrs/hr less. The later models without the large fin under the tail make them a pretty little aircraft. 1

dan3111
was thinking of looking at the jabiru j170 for a first probably only aircraft any comments appreciated You have to look at the type of flying you are going to do and the type of strips you would be operating from . If a lot of trips then jab cheap for your money . If you are doing a lot of local stuff then a slower air craft may be more practical . Never make the mistake in falling in love with a aircraft sitting on the ground ,it must be easy to fly in most conditions and have a low stall speed to be safe all round aircraft .
