adshedsyd Posted July 18, 2020 Share Posted July 18, 2020 based in capertee I have a rather nice airfield and house which i would like to share with someone who has some knowledge of repainting a gel coat aircraft. the gel coat is crazed and not sure if i have to take off all the gel coast before repainting? anyone got any ideas. can offer accommodation and a hourly rate for someone who whats to be on a afarm for a few weeks. I also have a old lazair that i would like to convert to electric power anyone got any ideas? i regards to the lack of daily viewers I suspect that flying is a costly and time consuming activity which puts a lot of people off. I live in Yeppoon, Central Queensland. East of Rockhampton. We fly out of Hedlow field. I hope to buy a Sling 4 or the likes 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mate, I don't know anything at all about fibreglassing but I can tell you that at this stage, if you want a coal fired plane, you will need to load up more batteries than the plane can carry. Quite frankly, you would be much better off with a diesel engine plane. If you are worried about the environment then 110% you'd be better off with a diesel engine rather than coal power. Thanks Derek, I don't fly anything yet. Still doing the theory and want to get my ticket so I can fly. I am keen on the Sling 4 or Diamond Air retractable. RoscoNZ Posted July 27, 2020 Share Posted July 27, 2020 Hi. I have completed a Sonex and it is nearly ready for a test flight. Just waiting for a new propeller. It has a 80 hp AeroVee motor. I am also halve way through building a Savannah. May be flying at the end of the year. Progress has been going well so far.
