Chucky Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 A Doctor was addressing a large audience in Tampa. "The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us sitting here, years ago. Red meat is awful. Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining. Chinese food is loaded with MSG. High fat diets can be disastrous, and none of us realises the long-term harm caused by the germs in our drinking water. However, there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and we all have eaten, or will eat it. Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering for years after eating it?" After several seconds of quiet, a 75-year-old man in the front row raised his hand, and softly said, "Wedding Cake."
horsefeathers Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Careful what you drink, as well !!!! Dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO) is colourless, odourless, tasteless, and sickens over 1 billion and kills over 2 million people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death. Dihydrogen monoxide: contaminates fuel is also known as hydroxyl acid, and is the major component of acid rain. contributes to the "greenhouse effect." may cause severe burns. contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape. accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals. may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes. has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients. contamination has been found in all floodwaters where death has occurred and violent thunderstorm rains containing destructive lightning. changing from crystalline to liquid is a leading cause of the destruction of arctic ice and glaciers. Coalition to Ban DHMO Dihydrogen Monoxide Homepage And remember folks - always check for DHMO after refuelling!!!

Yenn Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Don't overlook the good points of DHMO. It can be broken down into its constituent parts and used for fuel. When so used the only emission is Oxygen. So its not all bad.
Guest Wigg Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Hey Nev could the mysterious ingredient be the groom on top of the cake LOL. Sue
facthunter Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Cake Adournment. Can't help you there sue. Don't have much experience of that subject, but I expect you may be right. Most of my observations have been confined to the pubs in Cairns. Nev
