This is a great place to get advice on anything you're game to ask - I stumbled on it a few months ago while getting frustrated with an issue and I have never looked back. Thanks to all,

 

I am learning in a Lightwing, just had lesson 2, so far so good.

 

Looking for something like a Savannah, I will be flying to & from Fraser Is. each week so there is a few things I have to take into account ie, cruise speed, land on rough air strips

Hi Peter,

 

good to hear from you. You said that you'll be flying to Fraser Island often. The Savvy is really good for that as I have done it a few times. The jab takes a LOT longer for take-off on the soft runway.

 

Whatever plane you end up buying is not important at this point, just enjoy the flying. Another thing to consider and I have said it before is hangar space. There is nothing worse than having your new pride and joy and no where to put it.

I will have hanger space down here but at fraser I will be exposed to the weather, I think I will have to get some sort of slip on cover made.

Hi Pete. Great to hear of anyone flying but even better from someone starting out. Congratulations on joining the flying group of people from all around the country. You have Coominya as your strip, is that John and Lindas place? if it is, say hi from me please.:thumb_up:
