skeptic36 Posted June 30, 2010 Author Posted June 30, 2010 I thought as I walked out the door 'did I put the channel in that post', then I thought yeah of course I did, it's just that obsessive compulsive disorder thing again:blush: Thanks mate Regards Bill
skeptic36 Posted June 30, 2010 Author Posted June 30, 2010 That's why I don't get more hours in my log book, the pre-flight checks are a nightmare
dazza 38 Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I saw the add, for the show, it will be good to watch.
Owi Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I rarely look out for programs on ABC so thanks for the heads up, Bill.
Guest Wigg Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Watched the show today as I recorded it for John. A very interesting show & God how lucky was she to survive that. Next weeeks in on a chap in the desert also looks like it will be a good one.
dazza 38 Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 I realy enjoyed the show, amazing how she survived at that altitude.
skeptic36 Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 I thought the most amazing thing was that the wing reopened after it had collapsed.:ah_oh:
Spin Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I missed it , found it on the ABC website though, big download but it is available for the next 2 weeks I think. http://www.abc.net.au/iview/#/program/593762
Guest davidh10 Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I'd recommend watching it. I found it a bit slow, but very intersting from several points of view:- Amazing survival. Someone was looking after her. Human Factors. Despite realising the danger, two pilots pushed on because they didn't want to retire from the race. One died, the other was very lucky. The information retrieved from the GPS track was very interesting. The velocity of the updrafts and the altitude reached.
country kid Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 awsome show it did get a little slow in some places but very interesting its amazing that someone could survive all of that but then again i guess its possible :D after all she was very fit requiring which is probly what saved her
Guest Maj Millard Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Yes amazing show, no doubt being fit and young did help her a lot....and a lot of adrenlen in those veins to keep her going also. She is so lucky lightning didn't get her like the other poor bloke unfortunatly.........Maj...
