Dreamliner100 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I am only dreaming about recreation flying. Love skies, planes and would like to start...flying. Shy and just need some good advice for beginners....
Powerin Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Welcome to Recflying Dreamliner100! Your post sounds like me. Dreaming...shy....looking for advice. This is the place to be....lots of good advice. I've been here for nearly two years absorbing wisdom and knowledge and making friends. And I might even start flying soon Enjoy, Peter
Dreamliner100 Posted July 25, 2010 Author Posted July 25, 2010 Thanks Peter! I am not quite new to aviation and still there is a big gap between being flown and flying on your own. I will try to read other threads and perhaps one day ...could be there ..up in the skies...))
Neil_S Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Hi Dreamliner100, What can I say but Go For It! RA is great fun and you will wish you had started flying ages ago. I presume from your flag you are in the UK? Whereabouts are you based? I am a POM myself.... Cheers Neil
dazza 38 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Welcome Dreamliner, i havent been to the UK, for a long time. But i think the best place to start would be joining Popular Flying Association.I think that it was it is called, and get stuck into learning mate. I hope you enjoy this site mate.
Dreamliner100 Posted July 26, 2010 Author Posted July 26, 2010 Hi Neil Thanks I'm near EGHH/BOH which is aprx 3.5 nm (6.5 km; 4.0 mi north northeast of Bournemouth in the south...
CraigRat Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 As my instructor told me, the hardest part is the drive to your first lesson. EVERYONE starts out the same! It took my wife to get me a voucher for my TIF to get me in the air, and my only regret is not doing it 10 years earlier! Good luck with whatever path you choose.
Dreamliner100 Posted July 26, 2010 Author Posted July 26, 2010 Thanks Craig It seems the hardest one, your instructor is right...))
