cheyenne Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 We have just return from our cross country flight to Broome in our Jabiru J160 in company with another J160 and a Cessna 182. The scenery over the Kimberlies was spoilt slightly because of the fire smoke reducing the visability and later on the clouds rolled in over Broome and stayed with us all the way through Halls creek and the Bungle Bungles, then on the way back home we struck the headwinds. Total flight time was 53.5 hours, over 25 days, it was a great trip and recommend it to any one who wishes to break the bounds of flying local, we met some interesting people and stayed in places that we wished we had more time. One interesting note if flying into Elquestro trust your GPS the airstrip is hard to spot. Cheyenne.
Relfy Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Sounds like an awesome trip, can't wait to see some photos!
Guest Kevin the Penniless Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I flew Bundaberg to Gawler, South Australia in two days in my Jabiru J170. Great fun as well, but I'd go bonkers if I attempted twenty five days. Wow!
