Keith Page Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Well I am home from the Oshkosh adventure hence back to work. yuk. I am amazed with all the new concepts, look at the electric planes think where all that will end. I was once told (if you are not selfish:hug:) when we find something very good:clap: tell every one. A very interesting display was a glass **** pit. This unit is all the engine instruments, flight instruments, and one can put their own navigation programme in it as well. What the screen is, it is a touch screen computer and there is "more" we can use our dongle and down load the weather before we leave on the trips and there is "more" in the touch screen there is a key board plus an external hard drive can be plugged in as well, and the big thing it is affordable. Weight 2.5kg. Do not believe me have a look for your self, trust me it is worth a look and tell your friends. This is their web address:- www.aviation.levil.com
eightyknots Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 glass **** pit. ? How do the prices compare with steam gauges? Perhaps the day will come soon enough when they match or even exceed conventional instruments in dollar value.
Keith Page Posted August 26, 2010 Author Posted August 26, 2010 Do not hold me to it $4,000 (US) for the unit with all the bells and whistles, as I am away working I will post the accurate prices when I get home. Destiny Flyer you are correct I made two words should have been one "cockpit" I can write it twenty times if need be. Regards. Keith Page
