Hi Ive just landed in this forum. Joined many forums over the years had lots to do with online chatting, online gaming, and all sorts. It never ceases to be humororous to me how females get all the attention on the net. Im talking NON-porn type stuff. Just your every day things. Like when I look at thetopics in the just landed forum theres "a female newbie" who needs help. Low and behold, most replys most reviews. LOL funny as... well... that.

Perhaps because women in aviation are still comparatively rare?

I suggest that you drive down the road a bit to Tocumwal and talk to Eddie then John for a start. Google Tocumwal flying schools.

Good luck.

I think it's got a bit to do with the Damsel in distress syndrome. Us men a still fairly primeval

Hi SCK

Welcome Fella!

CPL and cheap don't usually fit in the same sentence! One feel's it best you look for good value, as sometimes things that look cheap turn out some other way.

The advice someone gave me all those years ago was "Do It In The Bush" as this is also most likely where you will get your first start!

And yes I started working with the organisation with whom I had done my Training. Suppose this all depends on which angle you are aiming for once you have your CPL. Meaning what particular facet of aviation you would like to be involved in!

Just my 2 bob's worth, All The Best and maybe we shall see you somewhere along the way!

OMG I did not thin I would get so many responses so quickly. Thank you all for your much appreciated help. I will go see these people over the next week or two. Tocumwal is very close to me so that would be great. Sheparton would be OK too.

I ultimately want to work as a crop duster or cattle muster pilot. Maybe some other things like remote area mail, newspaper and milk runs. I would do charter and instruction, but while it would be great to just be employed, I can imagine the novelty of charter would wear off quickly, or maybe Id love charter. who knows. But knowing me, I would rather be on my own up in an Air Tractor bombing crops with what ever the farmer needs. There are other things too, like summer fire bombing or bombing locusts with the chemicals. But like most of you. The main goal is to fly and fly for a job.

I just want to achieve this life long dream of being a pilot, if only a modest one. Then when Im old and I die, I will die knowing I achieved my dream. So yeah a super big thank you :) guys. You have given me the exact reply I was hoping for. thanks thanks & thanks again :P

I agree with dj.

Toc is easy for you and you can go RAA and GA there.

Alternatively Wagga has RAA schools, a GA school and the Aviation Academy that goes all the way to turbines. All you need is a few (hundred or thousand) hours in between some steps.

I know there's a fairly big CPL training capability at Mangalore. I often see CPL students from there fly in to Yarrawonga for a cuppa while on Nav or just clocking up hours. Sorry I don't know anything else about it, but just another place to investigate that is within kooee.

PS. Now you've got all the quick responses you can take the skirt off 006_laugh.gif.0f7b82c13a0ec29502c5fb56c616f069.gif006_laugh.gif.d4257c62d3c07cda468378b239946970.gif
