Canberra's second airport - economic report

Access Economics has recently completed a preliminary study into our airfield proposal which is attached to this email. This report outlines the prospective demand for a second airfield and identifies some of the opportunities it would present in terms of economic activity and potential job creation in the capital region. I suggest that you might like to read through this. The assumptions used in the report are conservative but compelling in terms of outlining some of the positive impacts a new airfield would have for the ACT.

 

As a follow up to this study the Government has agreed to fund a further study into the airfield which will provide more information on the costs and benefits of establishing a new centre for aviation to thrive in the nation’s capital.

I joined as a member of CRAA and have been following their progress as well as what's posted on this board. I don't think David Edmunds is on this forum. Michael Monck, CRAA, I think also follows the discussions here.
