I have three great books and a DVD for anyone who can come to YKAT for them (a different spin on the Come and Get it Trophy, I guess).

The Sky Racers: The 1919 Air Race from London to Australia.

"They had taken-off from Hounslow nearly two months earlier and left Mayence for Vienna on November 29th. Since then nothing was known of them. They had apparently disappeared from the planet."

My God! It's a Woman

"I do not know who received the biggest fright, me or my passengers. They knew what a close shave we had experienced and Sid Coleman laughed once we were in the air and said 'If you had gone in then, you would have wiped out aviation in the west in one sweep.' We were the only three pilots in the area."

Charles Kingsford Smith and Those Magnificent Men

"And then, just as despair was starting to set in, at last came the breakthrough. On Friday, 22 November, a fortnight after they had disappeared, flares were sighted by the captain of a vessel steaming past..."

Ice Pilots

A great DVD of C-130 Ski-Hercs that ferry researchers to Greenland and Antarctica. Good level of technical info, such as flight planning, cockpit activities and the amazing pilots.

PM me when you can make the trip one sunny weekend.

I'd be interested, but can't get there for a few weeks sorry.

Let me know if they are taken before hand, otherwise I shall get them.

Thanks.

Righto flying dog, you've got first dibs. Perhaps we could catch up at another airfield - The Oaks, YSCN - or somewhere in the city during the week (YCBD)? PM me.

I'm offering it to flying dog first, but there's every chance you can get it after that.

Ultralights, the DVD is yours (I can't get it to flying dog for the moment). I'm heading down to Jaspers on Sunday 24th October - how can I get it to you?

I still have the books Charles Kingsford Smith and Sky Racers available. Sky Racers was published this year and got a book review in the current issue of Australian Flying. It does have some really exciting stories about the 1919 air race. I can drop them off on a weekend to The Oaks, Camden, and Wollongong/Jaspers Brush (I'll be down that way to finish my navs).

I still have Sky Racers and Charles Kingsford Smith available (geez - I can't even give them away!!). Ultralights and Super King Air already have the DVD and the Nancy Bird book. I'll be going to the Wedderburn fly-in - can I catch up with anyone there?
