storchy neil Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 do you carry it i_dunno why is it legal to carry only maitainance manual why neil
Guest davidh10 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I carry PDF copies of both the Pilot's Operating Handbook and the Maintenance Manual on my phone, more because the Ops Handbook says "it must carried" than for any other reason (RA-Aus Rules say you must obey the Operations Manual). I can't see myself referring to it in flight I suspect the reason behind the demand to carry it is for access to the check lists for assembly, but I hangar the aircraft, so am not disassembling it except for maintenance. For maintenance, I use the paper books and for pre-flight I don't use a checklist.
Thx1137 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Yes. I can imagine the landing and takeoff performance info might be useful while away.
Ryanm Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 emergency/ abnormal checklists might be worth the weight!
