Tomo Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Some stalls and a bit of airwork in the SB582 Drifter. Notice airframe buffet through camera mount as it begins to stall; I love drifters, as they talk to you the whole time! Not shown on this video, but I practiced a turn back procedure at 1500ft on a full power 50kt climbout - cut power, nose down and a 180 turn, into wind it was 210ft, with a tail wind it was 260ft. And that was being ready for the failure! One up (and I'm light) with 40ltrs of fuel. Hope you enjoy. http://www.recreationalflying.com/forum/vbtube_show.php?do=tube&tubeid=496&name=drifter-fun-stalls
Deskpilot Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Hey Tomo, thanks for the vid. Nice work. I even enjoyed your background music. What/who is it?
Guest studentbiggles Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Mr "Young Clever Dick Pilot" :black_eye: ..........Very smart indeed...Tommo put another camera in the cockpit so we/I can see the altimeter... Keep and Fly Safe Alley
Guest davidh10 Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Enjoyed that Tomo. Checked the bank angle wit a protractor on my PC screen... yes..60 degree bank. Really makes me want to get up there, but it looks like my next chance, between other commitments and weather, is probably Tuesday
Deskpilot Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Tomo, just watched it again and I'd like to know what the music is. VanGelus? Excuse the spellin.
Tomo Posted November 10, 2010 Author Posted November 10, 2010 Tommo put another camera in the cockpit so we/I can see the altimeter... Whys that? Checked the bank angle wit a protractor on my PC screen... yes..60 degree bank. Thanks David - sounds good, was only a guess at 60 degree bank as there is no AH! So must have been a pretty good guess. Tomo, just watched it again and I'd like to know what the music is. VanGelus? Excuse the spellin. Sorry Doug, I've been meaning to get back to you. Artist is "Silent Edge" song called "For Ancient Times" From the Album "The eyes of the shadow" It is an edited version to suit the clip, but that's who it is. Thanks everyone for the kind words.
