Can anybody please help? What is the difference between a Tecnam P96 Golf and the P2002 Sierra? Found specs on the P2002 but can't seem to find much on the P96.

Thanks Folks

As for exact specs I don't have them on me right now but the Sierra has a different wing which is laminar flow and tapered and gives a better cruise speed but not as nice low speed handling as you will find in the golf so they can be a bit trickier to fly.

I am sure there are other differences for example the Sierra has hatches on the cowling for ease of inspection whereas the golf requries the cowl to come off. Newer Sierras have the modern Panel like you will see in the Eaglet.

If you are looking for actual specs on the P96 golf Greg has them at Airsport....

DB, the P92 from memory came in 2 or 3 models,. there was a sort of UL version with a flat belly and much lighter, don't know if any came to Oz. Then there was the standard P92 and P92 Super Echo, which is the one I am most familiar with.

All pretty much the same plane and wing etc....but with different fit out and engines etc. so therefore different performances. The standard P92 or super Echo are both very nice aircraft with good top end speed (I've seen around 109 kt cruise) and very stable low-end approach speed of around 45 kts. They are very comfortable cockpit wise, and make a great xcountry aircraft with room for gear. I'll attach some photos of the one I flew, it had top-end equipment with hot radios/gps, tinted windows, custom factory paint and other extras. There have been a couple of Service bulletins out on them but nothing that can't be taken care of, especially if you pick one up at the right price. The one I flew had an Airmaster Constant speed/variable pitch prop on it which livened it up no end, I have not flown one with the standard 2blade prop .They are a quality piece of Italian gear with a fairly high initial purchase price...........................cheers............... Correct, the P92 is the Tecnam high wing range, the P92 Echo Classic has a flat belly and usually the 80hp 912, the P92 Super Echo is an updated version, round fuselage etc.. and the latest of the P92 models is the Eaglet, which is like a modernised Super Echo.

There is also the P2004 Bravo, similar to a super echo but with cantilever wing with no struts, and then the new P2008 model with composite fuselage....
