I am in the process of deciding which plane to purchase and build. Choices to date have ranged from Vans, sonex, and now possibly a Lightning. As for the Lightning, can anyone advise whether simple acro is a possibility?

Probably best to buy a rule book first - aerobatics are illegal in RA Aircraft. Hope that was not an Australian aircraft.

Old thread, but recognise the name from another forum. Pretty sure he's recently picked up an RV-7 kit locally.

The reg number preceded by the letter N could be a clue as to where it is. That and the accent. Laurie ;)

Yep, I can confirm I have purchased a full RV7 kit SB. I had seriously conisdered a number of other craft (Sonex, Sling, Lightning) before but ultimately I wanted one capable of doing extended ocean crossings with the abiltiy to do a round the world. With that in mind, the RV7 was perfect, not to mention the possibilty of aero. Cheers!
