Yenn Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I have just got hold of the latest VNC charts No's 9 to 12, coveringBundy, Rocky, Cairns and Townsville. They cover up from Brisbane to past Daintree and very welcome they are too. It is illegal for me to copy and paste them onto this forum, but I am sure that most of you know what a VNC looks like. It took a long time to convince Airservice that they should be produced, but they will be available officially for June 2 2011. If anyone wants one of the preview charts Rodd Spratt may be able to get some, drop me a line.
Guest davidh10 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Oh. This means RAA will have to update one of their tests... I recall one question was "How many VNC Charts are there?". Congratulations on getting them created. The VNCs are really good for the areas covered, albeit that I constantly find inconsistencies between VNC and VTC in the overlap areas, like an ALA on one but not on the other. So far this has been for ALAs that no longer exist but have only been removed from one map. As the ones you have are apparently draft, you could look for inconsistencies and errors and provide feedback to Airservices.
