Guest 77na Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Hi all, I am from Beijing, China, where people call me "Yan" I am very pleased to find this site to share with you. I am currently plans to build a Affordaplane. However, as domestic resources are not perfect, some materials had to use alternative products. Estimated time of completion will be in the 125kg weight around. Hope to get all the help this forum. This is part of the photos when I built: Thanks Yan

Guest 77na Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Thank you, Scoob In fact, I have a lot of questions you need to consult. I am currently making ailerons. But the original design drawings required a long rivets that I have not found. So I want to change the design a little. Here is my idea of design changes: This is the original design drawings.(I'm sorry I have not understood how to make the picture larger......) Problem areas to be painted a red circle. I can not find that long rivets. So I changed to design, here is the diagram and instructions: But I do not know whether it will affect the structural strength of the original design. I want to know what we can provide better manufacturing experience to me, very grateful. Thanks. Yan
Guest 77na Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Sorry. I forgot to mark, and should be the diameter of 1 / 8''rivets. Thanks. Yan
Guest burbles1 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Yan, You could ask some questions in another forum that specifically covers the Affordaplane. Go to: Recreational Aircraft Usergroups - Other Rec Aircraft
Guest Kevin the Penniless Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Yan, I hope all goes well for you. May I say your English is better than some people here in Australia!
Guest 77na Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Thank you for your support, I have to solve this problem. I replaced the two smaller diameter tubes, and find a longer rivet. Of course, in order to ensure the strength, the thicker the wall thickness of aluminum tubes. In fact, my English is not good. I usually have some difficulties to communicate with others. To be able to exchange must always go with a dictionary reference. Wish to express my thoughts clearly. Thanks Yan
