mechfx Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Hey Baph, any chance of pictures of your mates installation please ?
Guest Baphomet Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 He's sold the plane, but I'll have a look at the archival stuff I've go and try to find something. What I didn't say in the earlier post, and I hope is obvious to anyone, is that the performance will be very dependent on the weight of your aircraft. Baph
Shane Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 I have BlackMax Wheels and Brakes fitted to my Drifter This setup works really well I have written about them here, at Rec Flying http://www.recreationalflying.com/showthread.php/37127-Drifter-Brakes?highlight=Drifter+brakes Shane
Guest Maj Millard Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 The Black Max wheels that I am familiar with do not handle long term sun exposure too well, as it weakens them. They were fitted to many early ULs in the 80s, and I recall at least one pilot walking back to the hangar with his helmet full of broken Black Max wheel bits. Best to minimize their sun exposure !.....................................................Maj...
Robert Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 Hi These wheels are made of aluminum the sun shouldnt effect them should it !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest Maj Millard Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Sorry, I was thinking of the black plastic ones.....................................maj...
