flightygirl Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 hi all. our trip after xmas has now changed to Lake Keepit, Armidale and Lismore due to my work commitments. We are planning on being in Lismore or nearby for NYE and are hoping to share the fun with Forumers! If any of you are up that way and are having a NYE party we could crash we'd love to hear from you! Rach:big_grin:
Guest Maj Millard Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Good to hear you will get some quality flying in at least. You'r probabily wise to stay South of the border, as the weather forcasts are not flash for the Xmas period in sunny Qld..in fact they are bloody terrible !!......in a word...rain !!!! I don't know anybody in Lismore other than Wayne Fisher at Spectrum, but I'm sure you'll run into somebody. If not there are several Savannas just to the West at Casino, and a very friendly aeroclub. Fly safe, keep one eye on the weather...and ENJOY..................................Maj...
Guest JRMobile Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 We are off to Melbourne for NY, taking the big red plan down. If we were staying at home, we would be at our local hall, see attached! Cheers John

Spin Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Time for that float conversion methinks - the radar has exploded over N NSW and according to the gurus that will slowly blow back north over us. Just been to check on the boat and although the canals etc are still where they should be, even 2 hours before high tide they were well above their normal level. We're primed for a bit of a mess if the same rain falls here later today. Edit, just been reading weatherzone, apparently things are getting a tad nasty over at Warwick and Toowoomba - (Heon just smiles.....)
