XP503 Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Interesting thread, funny coincidence I received Peter Fitzsimons Book about Smithy for Christmas. I am half way through, what an amazing read!! I am going to take a look at VH-USU for myself.
Old Koreelah Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Perhaps, Major Millard, you mean the Vimy in Adelaide is the one flown from England to Australia by Australian officers Keith and Ross Smith.
Guest Maj Millard Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Yes thank you old koorelah, I actually have the two written reports on both flights. I like to give books, so it got down to Smithy or the life of Anglina Jolie. He's single so he got Angie. I have to get Smithy myself now....seeing the plane is cool !..........Maj...
airangel Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 The Vickers Vimy in Adelaide is Not Alcock and Brown. It is Sir Ross and Keith Smith's plane. It has been extensively rebuilt
