Radio Bendix/King KY97A repairs when the small knob does not change the 25 kHz

Hi I have recently purchased an aircraft fitted with a BendixKing KY97A radio. I cannot change the 25 kHz or 50 kHz using the small knob pulled out or pushed in.

 

I live in Mackay Queensland; has any one had a similar problem repaired. I'm not an avinoics tech and hope it may be a matter of having a repair shop fit a new part.

 

I can get around the problem by selecting a preset frequency with the required decimal and adjusting the whole number to my desired freq.

 

However I would like to get the radio working fully.

Hi Mike,

 

Taking a flyer here but as both functions controlled by this knob do not work, is the knob not perhaps loose on the shaft and just turning on the shaft. If memory serves me correctly it is secured by 1 or 2 small allen grub screws. Have had this on other radios in the past.
