AzharFly Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Hi, I have a Rotax 462 and the service manual states a change in gearbox oil every 10 hours. It recommends SAE 140-GL5 Gear Oil. I've searched everywhere and all I can find is 75/80 SAE Gear Oil. Does anyone know of a good place to buy all your engine's maintenance oils and other bits etc? Thanks, Azhar
Ultralights Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 i was thinking the same thing, today i have started the 150 hrly on my 503, and it requires a gearbox oil change...
AzharFly Posted March 17, 2007 Author Posted March 17, 2007 Hi, I found that Repco can get gearbox oil for you. My Rotax 462 gearbox needs EPX85W/140 and you can get this in Castrol 4 litres @$40 or Valvolene in a 1 litre bottle @$11. Azhar
Guest micgrace Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Hi Could use Shell mjx 140 gear oil from your friendly Shell distributor. They may have to order it in. Micgrace
