eightyknots Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 That's not a hard landing, THIS is a hard landing:bye: I think the two planes had the same angle of descent but because of the considerably larger mass that BECAME a very hard landing. I think many of those passengers did not look forward to catching their return flight. I'm sure that landing must have done some structural damage to the aeroplane involved. They probably had to give this plane a very thorough post-landing inspection.
Guest Andys@coffs Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 If you watch the jet when the Oleo's are at max compression it seems to me that the rear fuselage is actually on the runway!!!!! that grey area between a good landing and a crash is wide but in this case just a wisker short of crash...... I wonder what happened? he did flare, but it was obviously way too late
