Guest aussie carl Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Tony offered to take me for a quick flight in the Sting to Grafton and back today. So I thought we should try out my lil camera. Audi needs a little fine tuning, You may have to turn your speakers up to hear the audi. I plan to us the camera for my training which starts next month so I can go over the training.
Guest aussie carl Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 G'Day Rod. Don't realy know but Cruse is something like 110 at 65% Tone has experement a few times with the speed @ 1000ft 130 was easy enough. (hope that is right) with the constant speed prop she slows down to 60 easy. The seats feal SOOOO nice, more like race car seats with four point harness to boot The fellas in Grafton are pretty casual and Stew is a great laugh. Tone has also invited me to NATFLY. OH YER ! We both have family in Hay and will fly to and from each day. The view is awsome. Camera with card cost $40. I will snap a pickie of the setup I live right near 01 approach in Coffs and the Sting is easily the quietest plane around. Thanks Daz. It's SOO much fun and exciting. I will be doing RAA training in a Foxbat with Mike Jellof starting in Feb when our store quietens down as everyone goes back to school and work.
Kyle Communications Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Hi Carl Thats a great idea for doing your training..what are the camera details...model/make etc...it would be good to review each flight you do and also see what you are looking at during the flight Mark
Jayz Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Hi Carl great little idea. When I did my first solo and nav I was wanting to record it and this would have been great just for that please let us know where u Got it from and some pics as I will be straight on to it..for $40 a video to show mates is better than tring to explain it
Guest aussie carl Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Sorry for the delay. We have the cameras. Here is a quick vid I slaped together from today. Far out what a day ! Video goes for 10 minuets
Guest aussie carl Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Yep and Tone has a GA licence as well.
Guest aussie carl Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Thanks I pretty much put the head set cam on just for the Audio. RAA can fly at Coffs when the tower is closed and do early morning and evening. I live only a couple of hundered meters from 10 approach and probly only 500M from the airport. I have a scanner on 118.200. I done this to help tune my hearing into the jargen. After a few/many hrs of listening to the calls, reading the Flight Radio text book and with alot of help from Tone, I can now understand what is being said although I struggle trying to comunicate I guess I will get better when I HAVE to do the calls. Now how does it go. Foxbat Seven Three Three Zero Taxieng for runway Wun Zero. or if tower is open.(I still learning and trying to remember now is a good exersize) Me "Coffs Tower, Foxbat Seven Three Three Zero with flight details , Seven Three Three Zero." Tower "Foxbat Seven Three Three Zero Coffs Tower" Me "Seven Three Three Zero , at the foxbat hanger Request taxie way clearance for Wun Zero Two POB for local training flight in reciept of Alpha" Tower "Foxbat Seven Three Three Zero, clear to taxi via Golf for Foxtrot holding point time three zero" me "Taxi holding point Foxtrot Seven Three Three Zero" That's all I can remember for now and it takes me SOOOOO long to type but still need to get Airways clearance, permision to enter runway Wun Zero and cleance to take off. (I think)
