Guest Ricky Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Hi Can anybody tell me if a tryke wing from airbourne would fit in a seacontainer? the wing would be on a trolly nose down (same position as when attaching to the tryke for rigging Thanks Ricky
Guest Crezzi Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 IIRC "standard" containers are 8' wide by 8' high - I think that would make the diagonal dimensions perilously close to the wing keel length even if the the wing was at the optimal angle (which I doubt it would be when resting on the base bar). I've never seen it done (though that doesn't prove it can't be) but I'd just derig it - its not hard or overly time consuming. Cheers John
eastmeg2 Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I've often considered hanging trike wings from their nose in a hangar with the nose wires released and the A-Frame folded back against the keel. That could work particularly well with topless wings. It'd be like a big wardrobe.
