Guest brentc Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 I was looking at Aircraft Spruce and found these nifty little nav / strobes. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/doubleMagStrobes.php The DDM 12 volt DC model is powered by the 12 volt electrical system of your aircraft. As a standard model (PN 10-00824) it comes equipped with two Standard STREAMLINE strobe heads. The COMBO model (PN 11-04835) is equipped with the Combo STROBE & LED position light heads. While drawing an average of less than 2 Amps Standard and 2 1/2 Amps Combo (1/3 Amp is required for the LED positions lights in each head), it fires the strobe bulb in a rapid double flash on one head and then the other in an alternating pattern. The first flash catches the eye and the second identifies your position. Total flash rate is 74 per min. The driver unit measures 4 ½" X 3 ½" X 1 ½’ and weighs 10 ounces. Not 'too' bad at US $379 and a nice size.
