The total, including those non-voting juniors, is 9674, which is up 5% from the 9198 at 11 January 2010. The corresponding increase in 2009 over 2008 was 9.5%; 2008 over 2007 was 8%. The ratio of total members to registered aircraft hovered around 2.5:1 for some years but it has been drifting up during the last few years and is now 3.0:1. However, the ratio of Pilot Certificate holders with endorsements to registered aircraft is probably more meaningful; this is currently 2.0:1. The Junior Members are distributed as follows: 9 NSW, 7 Qld, 4 SA, 1 Tas, 9 Vic and 2 WA. For interest there are 286 magazine subscribers around the world. ... JB
fly_tornado Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 It would good to see some meaningful breakdowns of those stats, ages, new pilots, transitions from GA, etc. but I doubt the RAA is going to release them
