Hi Pete never flown one, but have done a bit of research on them and I have crawled all over one. Very Strong.About plus/minus 10 G. The rear cockpit is where it is flown solo. There isnt alot of room between the top wing and front seat to ingress/egress the front cockpit. The Murphy renegade originaly was designed with the 582.Then Murphy did a little redesign for the rotax 912.Than model is the Renegade Spirit also Radials have been fitted as well. They are fairly short coupled, so not having flown one i cant realy comment on the handling qualities.I hope this helps you.

That aircraft Is owned by Ron Field, he is a member here.

Peter Franks (Lethbridge) has one with a 100HP rotax. He is on this site occasionally (Franksy) His wife flys it too, which is a creditable feat on her part. They are a pretty plane, but a bit long in the nose. IF you fitted a RXXXc radial it would be noseheavy without shortening the nose. The front cockpit is a bit of a squeeze getting into. They have no problems with weight with the normal engine. Not FAST as it is a BIpe with wires interplane, but it is strong and permitted aero's under GA reg. Nev

Hi Pete, the one at your field is a Silver head 582 . Its fairly cheap.Different nose cowl on it from the standard round cowl.

I have seen the aircraft in question in a classified... Looks very nice but perhaps more of a single seater with the ability to carry the occasional passenger due to the front cockpit entry? I guess you could carry a lot of baggage.

I fly more or less the same AC as the one you mension.

Kit build, completely covered with carbon fibre, jabiru 3300 fitted, 120 HP.

It handles very smooth, responsive, hardly ever use the trim. Good roll-rate, with a 2-bladed Hercules-prop I get a 950ft/min climb and an 85 mph cruise. I fly solo 95% of the time, 'cause accesing the front cockpit is only for fit, slim people

Peter was a good friend of mine. The build of your Nieuport was on this forum. You may be able to get a link to it if it's still there. Peters workmanship was first class, and he did it the hard way from drawings and basic plans. Peter didn't build the Murphy originally. He purchased it damaged and rebuilt it.

Yes you have to be a bit agile to get into the front cockpit. That one has an 80 HP Rotax (I think) 100 HP would be enough, Nev

Not fast and getting into the front seat is a bit difficult. That one has a Rotax 80 hp engine.. Looks the Part, really. Nev

I suspect most of these are plans built but some interesting aircraft here. Biplanes You can Build

Also worth checking the Kitplanes magazine buyer's guide: They update the list of available aircraft every year: KITPLANES The Independent Voice for Homebuilt Aviation - Aircraft Directory Directions

The y look great and are strong but more draggy (slower) and the ailerons drag in the long grass. Leave the lower wings off and fly a hi wing tail dragger and it goes through the farm gate(s) and taxis on the goat tracks. Nev

buy a project from the US, you'll save years and thousands

A Renegade is a lot of work. Better with a heavier motor which allows a shorter nose, but what would one use?. A biplane is more work and more drag.. Highwing with a strut is the simplest/strongest for around 90 knot planes and you can invert it and still exit. Nev

Fisher Flying Products have a biplane called a “Celebrity”. An aquantence (Derik Dyer) built a beautiful example powered by a Rotec radial, he used to take it to a lot of fly-in’s. Prior to the Celebrity he had a Fisher 3/4 Tiger Moth with a 2200 Jabiru motor. He is an accomplished builder an was helping others with their Fisher planes. He also published at least one article in the RAA mag. Google Fisher Flying Products for pics of their kits as a starting point. Cheers.
