kaz3g Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 It's not that hard, even a girl can do it. It's much easier now too, way back in the dark ages when I did it we had to do all of the exams on one day, so we couldn't study one subject at a time. Pardon? If you take a look at HSC and university exam results, Maz, you will find that those girls ace the boys for top marks ln nearly every field. Yes, the great majority of CPL candidates are guys and the great majority of senior pilot jobs go to them. That's changing, albeit slowly. Women have always found it hard to gain a foothold in traditionally male occupations and the RPT sector was one of the last to resist absolutely....now it just resists. If you really want to know how hard it has been for women to get into the sector, get hold of the bio for Captain Deborah Lawrie (nee Wardley) and ponder on what she went through to get a job with Uncle Reg. She didn't have to be as good as the guys; she had to be better. A lot better! Oh, and she set the mark for sex discrimination cases in the process http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2004/06/26/1088145020233.html Are you still back in the dark ages when people like Ansett prevailed, Maz? kaz

By the sounds of it, you'll have no problems with the rest!
raindrops Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Cheers everyone. Thanks for the well wishes. I tell you what though... I'm looking forward to getting home. Brain melt down approaching from studying day-in day-out. You get the weekend off, but like last weekend I read the CASA Met text book cover to cover then did questions the rest of the time. Will make going back to work seem like a breeze :-)
