pudestcon Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 I can see a new thread coming up....."The Jumpin' and Jivin' Javelin restoration project - ongoing" by David Issac:oh yeah: Pud
Guest iPilot Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Well after 4 cups of coffee, 6 biscuits and a bacon and egg sammo, I've just gone through 15 pages of joy, heartache, shoulder ache, Engine issues, guage issues, anticipation, more joy, elation and eventually 1.6 hours of flight. Where's the video for this fitting series of the T500?? Well done mate, like Tomo, I was on the edge of my seat all the way to the end, which really when you think about it, is just the beginning! I can't wait to get up and see it, I reckon she must be a pearler! It's great to see the whole community here get together for you mate, there was some great advice and suggestions given and some very generous folk. I've missed this place for that very reason. I can't wait to see more photos and video and maybe one day I'll bring the R44 up and we'll get some air to air stuff! Again, well done mate, it's one hell of an achievement! Brett
pudestcon Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 Yo I guess I should do that Pud, that way you folks would hold me accountable to complete it.David u betcha David, nothing like the members here to hold you accountable, so get to it son!!! Pud

Brett Hehehe, watch out you don't overload the R44 Brett. I'm pretty terrible at taking video but I do have a couple of clips I need to edit, then I'll post them here. You are correct about it being just the beginning, and I'm looking forward to getting a lot more air time I can tell you! One of the things that has kept me sane is the support and advice, and humour from the members here, so a big thank you from me to you all:thank you: It would be good to get some air to air video one day if it works out. I need some more airtime first though to get some currency back after a long time with no flying. I've just paid my dues to RAAus and they rang me because I didn't submit the number of hours flown in the last 12 months - that's because I didn't have any!!! That will change rapidly. Thanks for your best wishes Brett, maybe we can meet up one day.... Pud
Guest iPilot Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 There's a very good chance of that mate, I'm sure we'll tee something up in the near future!

Blueadventures Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 YESSS!!!:thumb_up::thumb_up::thumb_up:I knew it was a good omen when I read all your good wishes this morning. I now have 1.6 hours in MY airplane, and don't it feel good:rilla::rilla::rilla: She flys very well with no unpleasant characteristics. It took me a little while to get back into the groove, seeing as how it was June last year the last time I flew a Thruster. Went with the instructor for a few circuits until he was satisfied I still 'had it'. I need a few more hours of circuit bashing to get real confident but I'm up for it:laugh: I've got a couple of video clips I need to edit and I'll post the end result here if somebody tells me how to go about doing it. One very happy puppy:thumb up: Pud PS The bloody gate takings were miserable!! A couple of old geezers snuck in the back way without paying and that was it!! Well done Pud Enjoy your flights. Cheers:thumb up:
pudestcon Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Yep, I'll let you know for sure Andrew. G'day sseeker, Not sure what you are doing this Sunday, or if your offer to video the Thruster in flight is still open, but I should be at YNTM from about 0800 if it works for you. Hopefully the weather will play ball. Bob from Bindoon (Riley) will probably come over with his mate John, in Bob's Lightwing as well. Both Bob and John are restoring Thruster aircraft so there will be a lot of discussion I have no doubt!! Steve Vette - that veritable font of Thruster knowledge should be ready to launch his T500 as well, after a long layoff whilst he rebuilt his 582 and worked on my T500. Might be standing room only at Northam on Sunday! Pud

Tex Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Go to your account... "videos" hit the select box next to your video "Actions" "Delete"..... BUT just leave it up for a while as they might open the video with the soundtrack deleted...

Guest iPilot Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 You should be able to change the music in the "videos" section Pud. Just go to your "Videos" and "edit" there's an icon there to use YouTube's lists of music.
pudestcon Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 Thanks Brett, I've changed to an audio track suggested by Youtube but I reckon turn off the sound and play "Walkin' The Country" by Keith Urban. Play it loud and you'll get the idea:laugh: Pud
turboplanner Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Looks good Pud, big oscillation in the tail wheel there, maybe needs some more castor?
pudestcon Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 Looks good Pud, big oscillation in the tail wheel there, maybe needs some more castor? Yes, I still have an issue there. I was discussing it yesterday with Riley from the forums here and it definitely needs changing. I'll make some changes next weekend. Pud
