farri Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I went for a flight in my Drifter yesterday morning and I thought someone might enjoy these photos. Cheers, Frank. 1
ajy29 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 That's a great house with a moat. I love seeing those kind of things from the sky and wondering what kind of people live there.
Guest davidh10 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Nice photos Farri. Sounds like a really pleasant flight. Thanks for sharing. I like the fog / mist sitting in valleys. Hoping to get some of those myself, this winter. A couple of weeks back, I added some shots of a Pyrocumulus to my Redbubble photo site (linked in my signature). I had one starting to form right next to me, which was quite interesting and a good photo opportunity. I was then able to get some photos of a more developed one near Benalla. No photos for me this last weekend, as I had the 100 hourly to do. Saturday morning I had one hour to warm up the oil and took one of the flying school students for a fly, as he was waiting for the CFI to complete lessons with someone else. He had been looking forward to do some solo flying, but the 15kn gusty cross-wind and thermals put an end to that, as he had only just gone solo a few days previously. I then had an afternoon hour and a half test flight after the 100 hourly. Plenty of gliders flying out of Benalla and a quick visit from several trikes from the Sydney Microlights Club, who were having a fly-away to Benalla and visiting the local airfields.
