Admin Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 We are still screaming up the world web site rankings now being listed at the 817,000th web site in the world and we know how many billions of web sites there are in the entire world...this is a great achievement for the site...what is even greater is that this site is now highly ranked in the USA being listed at 635,000th website in America. The report has us with a projected listing for next month to be within the 700,000th level of web sites in the world so we are all doing something great here in helping each other in our flying endeavours which is enticing more and more fellow aviators to come along to the site...even if someone is helped in some very minor way with what is getting posted here means the site is achieving what it set out to do. Thanks to the 5 great independent moderators for creating this inviting culture, the staff for helping with all the different aspects of the site and all of you for your helpful and informative posts. 4
Guest David C Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Well done and many congratulations all round ... Very well deserved .. Dave C
Admin Posted April 25, 2011 Author Posted April 25, 2011 What is also good is that we have reduced the bounces by about 5% whilst at the same time increasing our ranking...very hard to do both. The other thing is the Australian ranking which is being worked on at the moment with an updated dedicated Australian site with Australian only features, pilot tools and information that will work better with the new forum software being used here...this should see the Australian ranking increase rapidly
Admin Posted April 30, 2011 Author Posted April 30, 2011 Here is the site's world wide ranking as of today...we are really screaming up the charts and there is no other recreational aviation/GA type of website in the Southern Hemisphere that comes any where near our ranking...woohoo...: 1
Captain Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 When considering the above and: What this result obviously indicates about the effectivenss of this site to promote recreational aviation (and not just in OZ, based on the USA figures). How the sensible control & moderation of this site, and the mostly responsible site members, quickly apply peer pressure to poor recreational flying practices that are displayed or discussed here. It is then worthwhile thinking again about the RA Aus and CASA complaints evidenced in post #61 of the "Natfly News" thread. Based on the above it is plainly evident (at least to me) what a wank it was for them to accuse this site of passively promoting poor flying practice. Clearly the opposite is the case, and in addition, this site is now almost the first port of call for existing enthusiasts and those investigating getting involved in recreational aviation. Congratulations to all involved. Regards Geoff 1
FlyingVizsla Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Good show! Good to see more sites linking too. Just goes to show Ian (& mods, & staff) are getting the mix right. Well done!:1st: Sue

Admin Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 We are still climbing up the charts...now even making an impact in China...country targeting is going really well with Recreational Flying becoming a dominant web site for all recreational aviators around the world and all based here in Australia
Ed Herring Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Ian Once again you have proved that you are providing just what the Pilots want. A quality forum. If around 80% of Forum members are RA-Aus members then that speaks for itself. Be proud of your achievments and congratulations. Best Regards ED
