Guest bph3715 Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Hi, My name is Bob and have just caught (re-caught, if there is such a word) the flying bug. Some 25 years ago I had a few lessons in A C150, situation changed - doesn't it always - and I couldn't continue with the lessons. Some years later I spent a week at Narromine in Blaniks - great fun - again situation changed... This time after an intro flight in a Tecnam at Shepparton I'm hooked again. Looking forward to the first solo and making new friends. Bob.
BigPete Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Welcome Bob - when you get to the stage where you stretch your new "wings" come and say G'day over here at Echuca. regards
Yenn Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 G'day Bob. Glad to have you aboard. The comment about getting flying in the blood is so true. I wonder how many of us have tried gliding. I doubled my glider time in one flight at Narromine, had to come down as it was getting dark. Previously I had spent every weekend for 6 weeks gliding and helping for a total of about 1 hour. Will have to get back to it.
Guest pelorus32 Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Hi Bob, a belated welcome. I hope you enjoy the team at Shepparton - I have - and the Tecnam's great to fly. Look forward to catching up at Shepp some time. Regards Mike
Ben Longden Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Hi Bob, Just adding to Mikes' welcome... the crew at Air Shepp and at Gawnes are nothing short of bloody brilliant, and the club is well known for its friendliness. Dont forget the Saturday lunches! Ben
