A friend who is an Aircraft Engineer told me of a humiliating experience he was subjected to recently which he cannot fathom why. He was in a hurry walking down the street in the busy CBD & was stopped by a young attractive female pilot he knew & whose aircarft he regularly services at the local airport. The young lady wanted to discuss a mechanical problem with the Aircraft Engineer about her aircraft , however the Engineer apologised to the lady & told her he was already late for an important business appointment, however he explained to the female pilot that he would be only to willing to try & solve the aircraft problem at a mutually convenient time within the next couple of days when he & she had nothing on at her place providing the lady gave him her address & telephone number. In response all he got was a slap in the face , which he cannot explain why when after all he was most polite to the female pilot.
