farri Posted May 22, 2011 Author Posted May 22, 2011 Yes, David! I knew Stan fairly well and in part,I posted because there may be people on this forum who were members of the FNQUA or knew Stan and arn`t aware! This is a fond memory I have..............I`d built my Chinook and learnt to fly it, Stan had built his GoldWing and learnt to fly it! Stan wanted me to fly to his home base, at Mission Beach and he decided that it would be great for us to meet up,in the air, half way! It was my first cross country flight! I flew south, he flew north,we met half way, then flew side by side to Mission Beach!!! Frank.

Good morning I am interested in making contact with family members of Stanley Onaindia with regards to research into their grandfather/great grandfather Salvador Torrents, a Catalan migrant to North Queensland in the early 1900's. If you know of any family members, I would appreciate it if you could make contact with them and if they are interested then they can contact me via email: [email protected] There is a current research project sponsored by the Catalan Society in Melbourne regarding early Catalan migrants to Australia and the researcher would appreciate contact. Sincerely Joanne Tapiolas (Townsville) PS I found this link via a google search.
Methusala Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 These are bitter sweet times when we remember the pioneers and our first experiences in true ultralights. My best regards to all who grieve for another mate gone west. Don
