Neil_S Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Hi Tomo, Great pix! Some interesting planes there. Cheers Neil
sfGnome Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Tomo, what was your camera mount? I liked the way that it wasn't rigidly fixed to the plane so that you have a slight feel of the plane's motion. Nice.
Tomo Posted May 28, 2011 Author Posted May 28, 2011 Thanks David! Looking forward to meeting yourself also. Gnome, it's one of the camera mounts I made - basically a L shape aluminum bar that the camera mounts onto, and the top side of the bar gets clamped to the little ledge bit in the Jab's just behind your head. It's mounted ridged, but the camera has quite an extensive image stabilizer system in it, which takes out all the high frequency vibrations. So it creates that feeling, quite cool I reckon.

Hi Tomo, what is the brand and model number of your camera? Can you post a few photos of your mount
Tomo Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 Hey Matt, sorry I don't actually have any photos of my mount in the aircraft. But the camera is this http://www.sony.com.au/product/hdr-cx350ve One of the best little video camera's I've used. Have taken a few weddings and other formal occasions with it and am extremely happy with it. Also the photos above are taken from this same video camera, so you can see it does pretty good in that area too! Those photos aren't edited at all either. It isn't a cheap camera, but it's awesome! I like how I can plug my portable hard drive into it and upload the files to it direct without a computer, very handy when you're away traveling around. And if you ever got lost... you can use the GPS in it too
