Does someone know how heavy the main landing alum. spar of a zodiac or similar aircraft is?

Don't think we ever weighed ours, but it is rather heavy. I'd rather that than it being too fragile, though. It should be possible to work out the mass by it's dimenstions, not that I have them here with me either. Not much help am I:cheezy grin:

Hi Mackay777, the weight of the 701 is 18'1 lbs. It's made of 7075-T6 aluminum

I seem to remember the 601 landing gear weighs about 45lbs. That's just the metal w/o the brakes and wheels.........................

I concur. I was surprised just how heavy the bare metal bow was, so I weighed it. 20 Kg! :strong:Jack.

Yes, Murray Knight is my instructor. I'm nearly finished, Savanah fligh's great, but I still prefer the Texan.
