Thalass Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Hey guys. I saw this online last night, and while it looks pretty awesome i think it'll never fly in Australia. CASA will take one look and freak out - just like with the Martin Jetpack. haha! http://www.hover-bike.com/ is the website. It definitely looks awesome!
farri Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Amazing!............ Wonder what the stability is like and how it handles in the turns!!...............Wouldn`t scrape the foot pegs or mufflers on the road!!! Frank.
Deskpilot Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 It's all pie in the sky as yet. It hasn't been 'flown'. A tethered ground test doesn't guarantee any success. How's he going to achieve his forward propulsion and claimed air-speed, stand it on it's nose. There's more about it on either Homebuiltairplanes.com or Key Publishing Ltd Aviation Forums , can't remember were I saw it.
turboplanner Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 It's a copy of an old flying car concept from a 1950's Popular Medchanics I don't this he has any stability control. This one does though and includes auto-stability Note the ratio of ducted fan area to fuselage structure which makes it work www.ardrone.com.au
