In May I did a flying trip in my Savannah from Kilcoy, SE Qld, across the center to Shark Bay, then around about the Kimberley and Pilbara, then back home across the center. Photos are at:

Fantastic trip John, and some great photos. That Savvy of yours is a real 4WD of the air.

Although you travel light and make it sound easy, I reckon it would take a fair bit of aviating skill and a lot of preparation to do a trip like that.

What an amazing, awesome trip. Great one for the bucket list. Now, if only the Xair could carry that much fuel between stops...? hmmmmm.059_whistling.gif.a3aa33bf4e30705b1ad8038eaab5a8f6.gif

Fantastic photos, really enjoyed looking through them. Must go up that way myself, views around Exmouth/Ningaloo are fantastic

Also, you wouldn't happen to know if one of the registrations on those corporate jets was VH-ACE?

Good work John . Doing a similar thing on our trips I realise the effort required to make the shots interesting for others , but you seem to have this ability . A marvellous record of your trip and once again well done .

Words have already been said, I can't improve on them.

It brought back memories of my trip to the Kimberly and Canning with far better pics than I took, Thank a million for sharing.

Question, How did you get the weather map of the storm activity on your i-Phone? Full page?

Just realised the stupid question on "full page" expand it!but weather site has me guessing still.

It's this weather site. On BOM 'Land and Water'

My favorite, with coloured pictures instead of coded jiberish.

I've been watching it for several years, and find it's forecasts very accurate.

There's also a very good wind site along with it at
