Guest Jake.f Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Thanks for sharing those! Did you end up getting any wake turbulence? I wouldn't have thought it would affect you from that far away...
Deskpilot Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 You Luucky, luucky bast^rd.OME Ditto the above, no offense meant to your parents of coarse
Cosmick Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Very nice pics, I wonder if the passengers in the Jet spilt their drinks:rofl:
rdarby Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I thought you had to be 300m above them and 300m away in an aircraft?
Guest Wigg Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 What great shots, so clear as well. Thank you for sharing.
Ultralights Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 Upper height limit off sydney is 500 ft. that and a long zoom lens with a good polarizing filter, and you can get some great shots, especialy if you slow to about 40Kts!
Ultralights Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 That would be South Cronulla Beach and Port Hacking.
ben87r Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 See my old joint to!!! oh how i miss living that close to the RSL!!
foxy Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 :( i flew heaps over the water on the weekend and saw no whales...although apparently there were HEAPS!!! (probably would help if i opened my eyes... ) awesome shots rob, makes me wanna do it again!
planedriver Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 You obviously had a whale of a time. Thanks for posting the pics Rob, Brilliant stuff! Kind Regards Alan
winsor68 Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I was just watching the news... apparently Mingaloo the white whale is near Fraser Island... Lets hope he is still heading north.
planedriver Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Saw the "great white whale" off Gabo Island when we were there in October last year. Incidentally, the flights from Mallacoota onto and off (C172 RG II Cutlass) were particularly spectacular. What is the picture of? Whether it be of the grass strip, or the amourous guy sun-baking on the rocks, I liked it Rod:big_grin: Kind Regards Planey
planedriver Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Looks a lovely spot to spend a few days, even if you did'nt see any whales. Most of those light-houses are situated in places where you can forget the rest of the world, mobile phones and the like, and simply enjoy the peace and tranquility.
Vi OWalker Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Nice shots! You could work as whale spotter for whale watching tour companies in Sydney :D I was on so many boat tours but would love to see whale from above. It looks so different.
